Security forces in Chhattisgarh got big success in an anti-naxal operation Monday. At least 15 Maoists were gunned down in Sukma district in Bastar region. Superintendent of police Abhishek Meena confirmed the incident.
A joint team of security forces was on a search operation after a specific input that a large number of Maoists are present in the jungles of Nulkatung in Konta area.
The encounter took place in the morning. Police recovered the bodies of 14 Maoists from the spot. Besides, 16 weapons and four Improvised explosive Devices – IEDs were also recovered from Konta and Arrabore area during search operation.
