he Centre will set up 50 bedded hospitals in the all the districts of the country in the next ten years under National AYUSH Mission. Minister of AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik said this in New Delhi while addressing media regarding the 2nd National Ayurveda Day which will be celebrated on 17th of this month on the occasion of Dhanwantri Jayanti.
The Minister said, the mission has been launched to support the efforts of States for the development of AYUSH sector including Ayurveda. He said, so far a total of sixty six 50 bedded integrated AYUSH hospitals and 992 yoga wellness centres have been assisted. He said, so far over one thousand one hundred and seventeen crore rupees have been released to the States under the mission.
Mr Naiak said, on the occasion of Ayurveda Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the All India Institute of Ayurveda at Sarita Vihar in New Delhi. The first phase of the project has completed at a cost of 157 crore rupees. Its campus is spread over 10 acre area and it has both hospital and academic blocks. The hospital has the facility of 200 beds.
