Centre has sought a report from Uttar Pradesh government over Bulandshahr gangrape incident. Sources said the Home Ministry has asked the state government about the factual informations and action taken report in the matter.
Meanwhile, National Commission for Women has summoned the doctor who conducted medical examination of the minor victim for allegedly ill-treating her.
NCW Chairperson Kumarmangalam said the family had told the the Commission’s team, which met the victims, that when the girl was taken for a medical examination, she was asked awkward questions.
She criticized the state police for not including sections of POCSO Act in the FIR against the accused.
On Friday, a woman from Noida and her daughter were allegedly dragged out of their car and gang-raped by a group of men near a highway in Bulandshahr.
