AMIT SHAHBrushing aside Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao’s demand for an apology, BJP national president Amit Shah stood by his statement that the Centre provided over 1 lakh-crore rupees aid to Telangana state.

Addressing the party’s booth level committee meeting in Hyderabad last night, he said, the Narendra Modi government gave over 1 lakh-crore rupees aid to Telangana. It’s a fact we are not doing a favour to Telangana.

It is the right of Telangana people, the BJP chief said. He added, Telangana people have a right over Narendra Modi government and it’s the duty of the Centre to develop Telangana. Union Information​and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu speaking on the occasion criticized MIM party and asserted that the BJP can come to power in Telangana and win the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat.
