Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar has said that Centre is determined to strengthen compliance regime on pollution in the country. Addressing the 60th conference of Chairmen and Member Secretaries of Pollution Control Boards Committees in New Delhi today, Mr Javadekar said, pollution control remains the prime objective of the government and its violation will be dealt with stringent penalty.
The Minister said that his Ministry is planning to set up a pollution research institute in the country soon. He said, to regularise pollution monitoring in the country, the government will continue to hold such workshops on pollution control in every six months.
