Centre has blamed Uttar Pradesh government over Mathura clash which led to the killing of 24 people including two police men. Talking to MEDIA in New Delhi today, Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju said there was lapse on the part of state government and it should ensure that such unfortunate incidents do not recur.
He said Home Ministry is waiting for UP government’s report over the incident.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh police has arrested 130 mobsters who ran berserk when the police tried to evacuate Jawahar Bagh of Mathura yesterday.
DGP Javeed Ahmad and Principal secretary paid tribute to the martyred SP City Mukul Dwivedi and SHO Santosh Yadav who laid their life to implement the rule of law.
As of now, the whole of Jawahar Bagh is in control of administration where police is carrying out massive search with dog squad.
Police has recovered some vehicles bearing Madhya Pradesh registration number from the clash site.
Eyewitnesses said that the wrath of local people against encroachers was such that when they were retreating, they were severely beaten by the public.
