10 CRPF Jawan killed in Maoists attack

The Centre has assured Bihar government to provide full cooperation to combat naxal activities in the state. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh talked to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on telephone and assured that Centre will leave no stone unturned to tackle naxal menace. Sources said, Mr. Singh had instructed Director General CRPF to visit Gaya to assess the situation. Ten CRPF commandos and 3 maoists were killed in an encounter in Sondaha forest area near Gaya – Aurangabad areas last night.
Director General of Police P.K.Thakur said that 5 injured jawans are under going treatment in hospitals of Gaya and Patna. Besides arms and ammunition AK 47 and mortars were recovered from the maoists. All police stations of Gaya and Aurangabad districts have been put on alert. Anti- maoist operation has also been accelerated. Search operation is being conducted in forest areas of these two districts to nab the maoists.
