Centre has issued an advisory to Assam, Meghalaya and Manipur over forecast for Flood in Barak Basin. Water resources Ministry in a release said, in view of very heavy rainfall in these states, river Barak and its tributaries are rising in Assam which is affecting the districts of Cachar, Hailakhandi, and Karimgunj.
The release said, the river Barak Katakhal and Kushiyara are expected to flow in Moderate to High Flood Situation in the next two to three days. The Ministry said, district administrations have been advised to take all precautionary measures.
