The CBI presented its progress report in Unnao gang rape case to the Allahabad High Court on Monday. Ruling BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar and his brother are accused in the case.
A division bench of the court headed by Chief Justice DB Bhosale directed the CBI to file its reply on the allegations made by the victim’s mother of a biased probe by the agency.
She has also accused in her affidavit that different FIRs have been lodged by the CBI in the case. The court has fixed the 30th of this month as next date of hearing in the matter.
The bench stayed the court proceedings against the accused MLA under POCSO Act at Unnao district court on a technical ground.
