The CBI team investigating the alleged abuse of minor girls at a state-funded shelter home in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district has obtained all relevant documents from the local police.
The case relates to mental, physical and sexual exploitation of the girls residing at Balika Grih in Muzaffarpur district.
Station House Officer of Mahila Thana, Jyoti Kumari said, the CBI team took a copy of the FIR and also obtained information about the shreds of evidence gathered so far.
Police sources said, attachment proceedings are being initiated against the absconding chairperson of the district child welfare committee, Dilip Kumar Verma.
Earlier, 63 types of medicines and two types of injections meant for epilepsy were seized from a first- floor room of the shelter home during a search operation conducted by a team under the supervision of a magistrate.
