Electioneering has reached a feverish pitch in Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram as leaders of various political parties are leaving no stone unturned to win the voters.

In Mizoram, BJP National President Amit Shah and Congress President Rahul Gandhi campaigned in different constituencies. Our correspondent has more:

Polling in Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram will be held in a single phase on the 28th of this month.

Scrutiny of nominations took place in Rajasthan and Telangana for Assembly polls. Thursday is the last day for withdrawal of nominations.

613 nominations have been rejected after scrutiny in Rajasthan. Candidates have now started campaigning in the state.

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal today campaigned in Jaipur while former chief minister Ashok Gehlot addressed a public meeting in Jodhpur district and Congress leader Sachin Pilot campaigned in Tonk district.

Both states will go to polls on 7th of next month in a single phase.

Counting of votes in all the five states will take place on 11th of next month.
