Union Cabinet has approved the proposal for Grant of Organized Group ‘A’ Service to Group ‘A’ Executive Cadre Officers of Central Armed Police Forces and extension of benefit of Non-Functional Financial Upgradation and Non-Functional Selection Grade.

Briefing media in New Delhi this afternoon, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said, the approval will lead to enhanced administrative capability and better output by the benefited officers in the duty.

It will also result in better service delivery to the nation in maintaining internal security of the country.

The Cabinet also gave the nod to the proposal for leasing out of three airports Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Mangaluru of Airports Authority of India (AAI) through Public Private Partnership to the highest bidder Adani Enterprises Limited.

Mr Javadekar said, it will bring efficiency in delivery, expertise, enterprise and professionalism apart from harnessing the needed investments in the public sector. He said, this will also result in enhanced revenues to the AAI and economic development in terms of job creation and related infrastructure.

It has also given ex-post facto approval for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Maldives for the establishment of passenger and cargo services by sea. An ex-post-facto approval was also given to the MoU between the two countries on cooperation in the field of Health sector.

The Cabinet also approved MoU between India and Morocco for developing, promoting and strengthening mutual cooperation between the judiciaries of the two countries.

The approval will promote cooperation between India and Morocco in judicial and other legal areas and enable exchange of knowledge in infrastructure and information technology.
