The Budget session of Delhi legislative assembly began today. On the first day of the three-day session, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta tabled the Economic survey of the year 2025-26 in the assembly.

According to the survey, Delhi’s Gross State Domestic Product for 2025-26 is projected to reach around thirteen lakh twenty-seven thousand crore rupees at current prices.

As per the survey, in 2025-26 per capita income of Delhi at current prices is likely to be 5 lakh 31 thousand and 610 rupees, which is 2.5 times higher than national level. Before the beginning of the session, a kheer ceremony was held at the Delhi Assembly premises.

Talking to the media after the ceremony, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that this is the second budget of her government and it will accelerate the speed of development in the national capital.

She added that this budget will provide facilities and infrastructure and raise the standard of living for the around 3 crore people living in Delhi.
