BSP has released a list of 54 candidates for sixth phase of elections in Uttar Pradesh while Congress released a list of star campaigners who will campaign for the party’s candidates in the assembly elections in the state. The list includes Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot and Mohd Azharuddin.
Meanwhile, the election campaign has gained momentum for the 7th phased assembly elections.
Union information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur on Saturday participated in kite-flying with BJP Mahila Morcha and BJP Yuva Morcha workers on the occasion of Basant Panchami at party headquarter in Lucknow.
He said, this kite-flying program is synonymous with the development of UP under PM Modi and CM Yogi’s leadership. While campaigning for party candidates in Hapur district, BJP president JP Nadda said that Opposition never cared for nation’s development, they only cared for their family’s development. Senior BJP leader and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh criticized former Congress president Rahul Gandhi for not trusting the valour of Indian soldiers and relying on the Chinese media instead on the Galwan issue. Mr Singh assured that Indian borders are safe.
On the other hand, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said in Aligarh that the SP and its alliance is going to get 400 seats in the assembly elections. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra conducted a door-to-door campaign in the Aligarh.
