BSF neutralizes 5 Pakistani intruders, apprehends 30 nationals in 1 year at Punjab border

Border Security Force (BSF) has neutralized five Pakistani intruders at the Punjab border and has apprehended 30 Pak nationals during infiltration from Pakistan into Indian Territory, in the last year from January 2024 to January 26th, this year.


Additional Director General, BSF, Satish Khandare revealed during an interaction with media at Amritsar, last evening, that the force has also apprehended 101 Indian smugglers as well during the same period.

Accompanied by Inspector General, BSF, Punjab Frontier, Dr Atul Fulzele, Mr Khandare informed that the border force has also seized 301 kgs of heroin, recovered 319 Pakistani drones, 40 weapons of various calibres and more than 375 rounds of ammunition.

Mr Khandare lauded the unwavering support of the Village Defense Committees (VDCs) in assisting the BSF to prevent trans-border crime.
