Doctors’ strike cripples health care in Maharashtra
Bombay High Court has ordered doctors on strike to resume their duties and give government some time to provide them with proper security.
The court directed government to provide ample security to all government hospitals so that doctors can work without fear.
The court will hear the matter again after two weeks and access the situation and the security provided to doctors on duty.
The court said that only 2 attendants would be allowed in the hospital with any patient.
Meanwhile Government has assured that 1100 armed guards will provide protection to doctors across Maharashtra soon.
Out of which 500 armed guards are joining in Mumbai from 1st April and rest 600 will join within a month.
