Union Health Ministry has directed that bodies of suspected COVID-19 cases will be handed over to relatives immediately without waiting for lab confirmation. The bodies will be disposed of with precautions as per Health Ministry’s guidelines. This direction came in compliance of Home Minister Amit Shah’s order in this regard.
As per Home Ministry’s directions, AIIMS, Delhi has set up a 24×7 COVID-19 helpline number. CoNTeC-AIIMS 9115444155. The callers can take OPD appointments and talk to volunteers while doctors can talk to Consultants through this number.
The Health Ministry has also set up 3 teams of 4 doctors each from AIIMS Delhi, DGHS,Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and government of Delhi, assisted by MCD officials in accordance with the Home Minister’s directions. The teams will inspect major dedicated COVID19 facilities proposed in Delhi & make recommendations for improvement.
