Says actor was served notice for illegal construction

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) today hit back at Comedian Kapil Sharma’s explosive tweets to Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying actor was served notice for making illegal construction at his Andheri office.
BMC local ward office -K-west, has claimed that the actor was issued a stop work notice for his ground plus one storied structure at Andheri -west where he had build an additional second floor and also extended the rear side of the ground floor in July this year.
The K west assistant municipal commissioner Parag Masurkar told media that ‘stop work notice was served to him for the unauthorized horizontal extension to the existing ground plus one storied structure’.
“On August 4 after receiving no reply from the actor the same was demolished,” said an BMC official.

Kapil Sharma this morning tweeted that he was asked to pay Rs. 5 lakhs as bribe by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for making an office in the city.
In a tweet put out today from his official handle the actor said, “I am paying 15 cr income tax from last 5 year n still i have to pay 5 lacs bribe to BMC office for making my office @narendramodi.”

The civic body said it could only act after a “formal complaint” from Mr Sharma.
“We have taken serious note of Kapil Sharma’s allegation. We will take action against the person when Kapil Sharma gives his name,” said Manohar Pawar, the chief of the BMC’s vigilance department, who has written to Mr Sharma.
