On August 22nd also, BJP members had walked out of the JPC meeting alleging that Congress members had used foul language when they sought inclusion of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P Chidambaram in the finalised list of witnesses to be called before the JPC.

Later, talking to media, senior BJP leader Yaswant Sinha said that the party members are not of the view to continue in the Committee any more and a final decision will be taken in this regard by his party leadership after the 20th of this month. Meanwhile, the Chairman of Joint Parliamentary Committee, JPC on 2G spectrum, Mr P C Chacko today refuted the charges of BJP members of being biased and termed it as unfortunate.

He said that BJP members walked out from the meeting for the second time, as they had also walked out from the last meeting. Talking to reporters in New Delhi after the JPC meeting, Mr Chacko said that this is their political decision.
