The Shiv Sena nominee is all set to become the Mayor of Mumbai as the BJP announced it would not enter the race, putting to rest speculation of a fierce contest between them for the post after a fractured verdict in the BMC polls.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the BJP will not have its nominees for the Mayor and Deputy Mayor posts, shortly after Shiv Sena declared its candidates for the two slots in the cash-rich Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
