BJP today took pot- shots at Congress leadership over an article in party’s Maharashtra mouthpiece which has questioned former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s policy and made controversial comments on Sonia Gandhi. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, party leader and Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said the article reveals what many people think about the Congress. He said Ms. Gandhi should come forward to tell the truth.
The Minister said the mouthpiece has also brought the hidden truth about Sardar Valabhbhai Patel to the fore. The article says that had Nehru taken into account the views of Sardar Patel, the Kashmir situation would not have come to what it is today. Mr. Javadekar alleged that the Congress belongs to one family and there is no importance of dissent voice. He said the party had never given due credit to leaders including Sardar Patel, former Prime Ministers Lal Bahadur Shashtri and P V Narasimha Rao.
