BJP on Tuesday (26th March 2024) slammed senior CPI(M) leader and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan over his comments on slogan of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Jai Hind. Talking to media in New Delhi, party spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said Mr. Vijayan’s comments that these slogans were first raised by the people of a particular community is a bizarre remark. He alleged that relating it to a particular community shows the divisive mindset of the left party.
Addressing an anti-Citizenship (Amendment) Act rally in Malappuram on Monday (25th March 2024), the CPI(M) leader had said that the two slogans were first raised by the two people of a particular community and asked whether the RSS will be ready to abandon them.
