The BJP-Shiv Sena coalition in Maharashtra is all set to retain power in Maharashtra though with a reduced majority.


Results have been declared for 279 assembly seats. BJP won 100 seats and is leading on 5 seats. Shiv Sena has bagged 57 seats. Congress has won 41 seats and is leading on 3 seats. NCP bagged 52 seats and is leading on one. Independents have got 12 seats while AIMIM and Samajwadi Party have won two seats each. Bahujan Vikas Aaghadi has also won two seats.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has won from Nagpur South West constituency defeating Congress Candidate Ashish Deshmukh. BJP candidate Vijaykumar Gavit has been declared elected from Nandurbar seat, Parag Shah from Ghatkopar East, Dilipkumar Patil Nilangekar from Nilanga seat, Kashiram Pawra from Shirpur and Sanjay Sawkare from Bhusawal, Mukta Tilak from Kasba Peth and Suesh Bhole from Jalgaon City.

Aaditya Uddhav Thackeray of Shiv Sena has won Worli seat. Ashish Shelar of BJP has won Vandre West seat. He defeated Asif Ahmed Zakaria of Congress.

Harshwardhan Patil of BJP has lost Indapur Assembly seat to Duttatray Bharne of NCP. Nitesh Narayan Rane son of former Chief Minister Narayan Rane of BJP has won Kankavali seat Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan has won Jamner seat defeating Sanjay Bhaskar Rao of Congress by over 35 thousand votes.

Sunil Dattatray Rane of BJP won Borivali seat. Sitting MLA Jayant Patil of NCP has won Islampur seat.

Former Deputy Chief Minister and nephew of Sharad Pawar Ajit Pawar of NCP has retained his Baramati seat At Muktainagar seat, Rohini Khadse, daughter of former BJP Minister Eknath Khadse has lost to independent candidate Chandrakant Patil by nearly 2 thousand votes. Abdul Sattar of Shiv Sena has retained Sillod constituency. Congress leader and former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan has won Bhokar constituency.
