
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will contest from his traditional Rajkot West seat in the ensuing state assembly elections while Deputy CM Nitin Patel will be the party candidate from his sitting Mehsana seat.
Party State Chief Jitubhai Vaghani has been fielded from Bhavnagar West constituency.
BJP today released the first list of 70 candidates for the polls to 182 member Gujarat assembly.
State Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasma will try his fate from Dholka. Opposition Congress is yet to release its list of candidates.
The nomination process for the first phase of assembly polls will end on Tuesday while the nominations for second phase will be from 20th to 27th November.
The Gujarat Assembly will go to polls in two-phases on 9th and 14th of next month.
