The Party Spokesperson Mrs Nirmala Sitharaman told media that it was a big embarrassment for the country. She said that Purulia arms drop is a very sensitive case, having implication on internal security and the role of intelligence agencies.
Criticising the CBI, Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader Sitaram Yechury said they have a lackadaisical approach in seeking the extradition of Davy. He said that it was a very serious matter considering internal security of the country.
Yechury said that CBI must ensure Davy’s extradition in the interest of the country.
