Her show was slated to start at six in the evening. Former deputy prime minister of India and father of Pratibha L K Advani reached the venue well ahead of time to keep an eye on the arrangements.

By the appointed time not more then thirty odd persons including the newshounds had reached the venue. The only VIP to reach before time was former deputy chairperson of Rajya Sabha Najma Heptullah.

As the time passed both the father and the daughter became restless. Frantic calls were made to municipal councilors and MLA’s of Delhi legislative assembly.

Shashi Tharoor, Shatrugun Sinha, Prakash Javadekar, Hema Malani trooped in one by one. At 6.30 half the seats in the small hall were still vacant. Fifteen minutes later Advani could not control and went up the stage to say that people could not reach as most of them including Nitin Gadkari, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley were visiting hospitals to meet the injured BJP party workers who were beaten by the Delhi police.

The film was a drab affair. Though the script written was good and presentation irked the viewers. As Pratibha, consumed most of the time in explaining details of the journey of tricolour. “I want to go but the trouble is he would notice that I am going out,” said a woman advocate who could not stand the film any more and decided to dozz off.

The only saving grace was the film clips. “Jai Bolo Pratibha Advani ki”, said one of the leading politician of the party.
