BJP today hit back at Congress for raising objections at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statements aimed at Dr Manmohan Singh. Briefing media in New Delhi, senior BJP leader and Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said debates are a healthy sign of Parliamentary democracy.

Yesterday, replying to the debate in Rajya Sabha on the motion of thanks to the President’s address, Mr Modi had said that Dr Manmohan Singh has a squeaky clean image even in the midst of so many scams. Saying that Prime Minister did not say anything wrong, Mr Prasad said corruption was at its peak during UPA rule.

He said it was Congress which had compared Mr Modi to most hated dictators of the world. He also said Congress is no longer a conventional political party and is only devoted to a dynasty.
