The meeting of the BJP ruled State Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers Wednesday discussed organisational issues and strategy for 2019 General elections.
The meeting held in New Delhi was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah among others.
Briefing reporters, party general secretary, Bhupendra Yadav said, the meeting discussed simultaneous elections of Lok Sabha and Assembly polls. He said, good governance and various welfare schemes are being implemented by the Centre and BJP ruled States.
During a media briefing, BJP leader and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh gave details of the various welfare schemes which were discussed during the meeting. He said, Centre has brought a National Health Protection Scheme and the role of State governments in the scheme was also discussed.
The BJP along with its allies is in power in 19 states at present, an all-time high for the party.
