The Bhartiya Janata Party today released its first list of 125 candidates for the ensuing Assembly elections in Maharashtra.
Announcing the candidature of Udayanraje Bhosale for the by-poll to Satara Lok Sabha constituency, the party retained 52 sitting MLAs in the first list.
While Chief Minister and Senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis will contest from his home constituency of Nagpur South-West Assembly constituency and Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar from Ballarpur constituency, Revenue Minister and State Unit Chief Chandrakant Patil will contest from Kothrud constituency in Pune, Minister of Water Resources Girish Mahajan from Jamner constituency, Minister of Rural Development Pankaja Munde from Parli, Minister for School Education Ashish Shelar from Bandra West and Mos for Women and Child Development Vidya Thakur from Goregaon constituency in Mumbai.
Other prominent names featuring in the first list are, Assembly Speaker Haribhau Bagade, Subhash Deshmukh, and latest entrant
