BJP today accused BSP Chief Mayawati of communalising the Uttar Pradesh election campaign after she made overtures to Muslims at a rally in Lucknow. The party claimed development is the main poll agenda over which people will vote for it as both SP and BSP have failed on this count.
BJP secretary Shrikant Sharma said BSP is practising low level politics and her comments reflects frustration as her support base is shifting away from her amidst rising popularity of Mr Narendra Modi. Mr Sharma was reacting in New Delhi against Ms Mayawati’s remarks about the Prime Minister.He also asked her to refrain from speaking on the surgical strikes on terrorist launch pads across the LoC.
