World’s longest River Cruise MV Ganga Vilas is in Bihar en route to Dibrugarh via Bangladesh. Thirty-two tourists from Switzerland are revelling the journey.

The cruise will reach Simaria, Begusarai in the afternoon. Simaria is situated on the bank of river Ganga in Begusarai district. Kalpvas mela is organised every year in month of kartik at Simaria ghat. During auspicious month Devotees stay in temporary tent house and performs the special puja.

Tourists of Ganga Vilas Cruise are scheduled to visit the riverside villages of Simaria. The Managing Director of Bihar Tourism Development Corporation Abhijit said job opportunities will be produced after launching of river cruise.

The Ganga Vilas cruise will stay tonight in Simaria and it will depart for Munger tomorrow. The Cruise will be in Bihar till the 22nd of this month.

Ganga Vilas was flagged off from Varanasi by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. The Cruise will cover a 3,200 km voyage being pitched as the world’s longest.

River Cruise MV Ganga Vilas is furnished with colorful wooden handicraft furniture from Jodhpur in Rajasthan. The 28 rooms, lobby, sun deck, and restaurant of the cruise are decorated with furniture depicting the ethnic design and vibrant colors of Rajasthan.

This furniture are designed by two young exporters from Jodhpur. It took them 3 to 4 months to complete this project.

Artisans have used modern machines to manufacture these products using mango and acacia wood giving them a luxurious finish.

White pink, red and light colors have been used to decorate the interior parts of the cruise so that they can give a good match to the furniture.
