In Bihar, there is no improvement in violence-hit areas of Biharsharif in Nalanda district and Sasaram in Rohtas district. Tension prevails in these areas after communal clashes. Internet services remained suspended for the fourth consecutive day today. Prohibitory orders under section 144 have also been imposed. Schools, Colleges, educational institutions, and Business establishments have been closed till tomorrow.

109 persons have been arrested so far. The administration staged a flag march in the sensitive areas. Four companies of Central paramilitary forces have reached in Bihar to assist local administration in maintaining law and order in affected areas of the state. The Director General of Police RS Bhatti visited violence-hit Biharsharif and reviewed the situation. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a review meeting with higher officials amid the prevailing law and order situation in the state. The Chief Minister Mr. Kumar instructed officials to take stern action against troublemakers and appealed to people not to pay attention on rumors.
