The Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh today assured all possible central assistance to Bihar to meet the challenges arising out of the cyclone that devastated life and property. Talking to media persons in Purnea, after making an aerial survey of cyclone hit areas , the Minister said the Centre is ready to provide financial help to the state government.
He said, the Centre will take a lenient view of demand made by the state government. Mr. Singh however expressed satisfaction over the ongoing relief and rehabilitation measures being undertaken by the Bihar Government. Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and the Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley for providing help to the state .
Earlier, Rajnath Singh along with Nitish Kumar made an aerial survey of cyclone hit districts in Bihar. Rajnath Singh was accompanied by the Agriculture Minister, Radha Mohan Singh, the Communications and Information & Technology Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad and senior BJP leader, Sushil Kumar Modi.
