Campaigning for crucial the fifth and final phase of assembly elections in Bihar ended last evening. 57 constituencies spread over nine districts will go to polls in this phase on Thursday.
Voting will be held in Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, Madhepura, Saharsa and Darbhanga in this phase. Counting of votes for all the phases will be held on Sunday.
Leaders both NDA and Grand Alliance attacked each other bitterly and election commission issued advisory many times to curb it.
Out of nine districts going to poll in fifth phase, Purniya with seven assembly seats played an important role in Bihar’s politics.
More than nineteen lakh voters of Poorniya will decide the political fate of 128 candidates on 5th of November in the final phase of the polling in Bihar. Consisting of seven assembly seats the main fight is between NDA and Grand Alliance.
Elaborate security arrangements have been done in all 1 thousand 834 polling booths in the district . On the other hand battle of ballots is going to be more interesting as political equations were changed in this assembly election.
In the last assembly elections NDA alliance got grand success in all seven constituencies of the district. But this time it faces strong resistance from Grand Alliance consisting congress, RJD and JDU. In some constituencies triangular battle is witnessed due to presence of Pappu Yadav led Jan Adhikaar Party.
