lalu-nitish newRJD, JD(U) and Congress today finalised seat sharing formula for the upcoming Assembly polls in Bihar. At a joint press conference in Patna, JD(U) leader and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced that the RJD and JD(U) will fight on 100 seats each and Congress was given 40 seats for the 243 assembly seats.

RJD president Lalu Prasad and Congress leader C. P. Joshi were present on this occasion. Nitish Kumar said the NCP will also be included in this grand alliance. Mr. Kumar said the grand alliance will hold Swabhiman ( self respect) rally at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on August 30.

Mr. Kumar said common minimum programme will be announced before elections. Lalu Prasad said the alliance is united despite all differences. Mr. Prasad said the grand alliance will give befitting reply to BJP. He claimed the BJP will be confined to just about 30 seats in the coming assembly elections. Congress leader C P Joshi said the alliance will fight against communal forces in coming elections.
