RJD President Lalu Prasad and JD(U) Chief Sharad Yadav have failed to persuade Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav to reconsider his decision to contest upcoming Bihar assembly elections alone. Their meeting with SP Chief this evening remained inconclusive.
Talking to mediaeporters after the meeting, the two leaders said talks are on to bring SP back in the grand alliance. Sharad Yadav said he has urged Mulayam Singh Yadav to think over his party’s decision and expressed the hope that there will be a good news in a day or two. He again claimed that the alliance will continue.
Terming Mulayam Singh Yadav as his guardian, Lalu Prasad maintained that there is no dispute over seat sharing. He said everyone is looking towards Bihar elections and the grand alliance will defeat the BJP. source said that there is little possibility of Mulayam Singh Yadav taking back his decision.
