AMN /PATNA

Amid fast changing political scenario RJD, BJP and JD(U) have asked all MLAs to remain present in Patna. Several rounds of meetings have taken place separately by BJP, RJD and JD(U) so far.

The hints given by BJP and JD(U) leaders indicate that the survival of the Grand Alliance government is very difficult.

RJD has decided to take a stand of wait and watch politics during the meeting of party legislators. All MLAs authorized RJD Chief Lalu Prasad to take any decision in the present scenario. It was also decided in the meeting that RJD will not withdraw its support from the Grand Alliance.

BJP is also holding back-to-back meetings in Patna. Soon after the completion of the meeting of its core committee the legislators and MPs are discussing options and the next course of action.

JD(U) Chief Nitish Kumar has also convened a meeting of its MLAs in Patna this evening. Earlier Mr Kumar held a meeting of senior party leaders this morning who are said to be decision makers in the party at Patna. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has so far not made any statement regarding the ongoing political scenario. Hectic deliberations are underway behind the scenes setting the stage for realignment in the landscape of state politics.

Now all eyes are centred on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, over his expected move so that the ongoing political uncertainty may end in the state.  The two partners of Grand Alliance, the RJD and JD(U) have given indication that there is no hope of survival of their coalition.  RJD and JD (U) leaders have launched hard hitting attacks on top leadership of their parties.

The BJP is making a strategy to bring back its old ally JD(U) in NDA. Several rounds of meetings were held by senior BJP leaders in Patna.  The party has also tried to take in confidence Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Upendra Kushwaha the political opponents of Nitish Kumar. On the other hand Congress, the constituent of Grand Alliance, has said that it is closely monitoring the politics which is unfolding in the state.
