In the reserved Gaya constituency, the political situation is quite different from 2014 election. Last time Hari Manjhi of BJP won the election. But this time under the seat-sharing arrangement of NDA Gaya seat has gone to JD(U) and Vijay Kumar Manjhi is contesting from the party.

3 candidates are in the fray including former chief minister and Hindustani Awami Morcha Chief Jitan Ram Manjhi who is a candidate of grand alliance. Last time Mr. Manjhi lost the Lok election from Gaya but this time he is in direct contest with NDA nominee Vijay Kumar Manjhi of JD(U).

With NDA candidate Vijay Manjhi heavily banking on the aura of PM Narendra Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, all eyes are now fixed on the April 2 rally to be addressed by two leaders.

In Gaya parliamentary constituency there are six assembly segments.Three are of RJD, one each to BJP, Congress and Janta Dal(United). Both Jitan Ram Manjhi of (HAM) and Vijay Kumar of JD (U) are leaving no stone unturned to win this prestigious seat.
