Mahagatbandhan or the Grand Alliance, consisting of RJD, Congress, Rashtriya Lok Samta Party RLSP, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) today announced name of names of 23 candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections

Addressing a joint press conference in Patna, RJD leader Tejaswi Prasad Yadav announced the names of 23 candidates. The alliance has already announced 9 candidates and the names of remaining eight candidates will be announced later.

Former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar will contest from Sasaram and sitting Congress MP Ranjita Ranjan will contest from Supaul. From RJD, Sharad Yadav will contest from Madhepura, Raghuvansh Prasad Singh from Vaishali and Misa Bharati from Patliputra. Vikassheel Insaan Party Chief Mukesh Sahni will contest from Khagaria seat.

RJD leader Tejaswi Prasad Yadav said Upendra Kushwaha led RLSP will announce it’s party candidates and Congress will announce names of the candidates from Patna Sahib and Valmikinagar, later. Mr Yadav said RJD has given one seat, Arrah, to CPI(ML).
