Bihar government today launched a Nasha Mukti campaign to make the state Alcohal adiction-free with formation of over 11 thousand kilometre long human chain across the state.
Chief minister Nitish Kumar said, over three crore people participated in this human chain. The event was recorded as the world’s longest human chain in Limca Book of Records. Earlier the record was with Bagladesh where 50 lakh people had participated in one thousand 50 kilo metre long human chain.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav and RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav joined hands in the formation of human chain at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Leaders and workers of different political parties including BJP , LJP , RLSP and CPI also took part in this historical event. Students and teachers from schools and colleges across the state participated in the event.
The human chain also covered all panchayats of the state. The Chief Minister said, ‘nasha mukti’ in Bihar will herald a new era in the state as no one will be permitted to use intoxicating substance and tobacco products. Mr. Kumar said, Bihar will become an ideal state of the country as dreamed by Mahatma Gandhi.
