Senior IAS officer and the chairman of Bihar Staff Selection Commission Sudhir Kumar has been arrested today in connection with question paper leak of clerical examination in the state.
Special Investagtion team SIT arrested him from Hazaribagh district in Jharkhand. Four relatives of Chairman were also taken in police custody.
SIT Chief and Patna SSP Manu Maharaj told media that Sudhir Kumar was being interrogated and will be brought to Patna. Earlier, SIT team had quizzed Kumar in connection with question paper leak. Sources said SIT was no satisfied by his reply.
The secretary of Bihar Staff selection Commission Parmeshwar Ram had already been arrested in question paper leak case. The SIT team has also arrested owner of the printing press from Ahmedabad where question papers were printed.
The matter came to light when handwritten answers of 127 out of the 150 questions surfaced in public domain hours before the first two phases of the examination were held on January 29 and February 5, forcing the government to cancel the exams after a preliminary probe confirmed that the “sanctity of the exam had been compromised.”
