The first session of the 16th state legislative assembly in Bihar will begin on 30th November and it will have total six sittings. The cabinet meeting presided by chief minister Nitish Kumar today approved the dates of Winter Session of assembly and legislative council, both houses.

Pro-tem speaker will administer the oath of membership to newly elected MLAs on 30th November and 1st December, while new speaker will be elected on 2nd December.

Governor Ramnath Kovind will address the joint sitting of both the houses on 3rd December. The debate on the address of Governor will take place on 7th and 8th December.

Reply from Government will be on 8th December. This will be the 181st session of Upper house which begin on 30th November.
