A man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for circulating photoshopped images of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Monir Hossain was found guilty by the Bangladesh Cyber Tribunal under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act of sending doctored images of Hasina, late President Zillur Rahman and former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to mobile phones users in 2013.
Alamgir Hossain and Subrata Shil, two other accused in the case, were acquitted as charges against them were not proved.
