Bangladesh ODI cricket captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was elected by a huge margin from Narail-2 constituency in the 11th parliamentary elections held on Sunday. Election Commission (EC) Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed announced the unofficial results of the constituency on Sunday night.

As a ruling Awami League candidate, the legendary Bangladesh cricketer got 271,210 votes with ‘boat’ symbol while his nearest contestant NPP chairman Fariduzzaman Farhad secured 7,883 votes with the ‘sheaf of paddy’ symbol.
