Indian challange in singles came to an end as both Aditi Bhatt and Rohan Gurbani went down fighting against their higher-ranked opponents at the ongoing BWF World Junior Championships in Kazan, Russia on Thursday.

While in girls’ singles, Aditi lost to 4th seeded Indonesian Putri Kusuma Wardani 11-21,15-21 in a 30-minute long match, Rohan Gurbani also went down fighting after he lost to Junior World No. 24 Ren Cheng Ming of China with a 15-21,13-21 scoreline. Rohan exited after losing Round 5 in boys singles while Aditi’s loss happened in Round 4 of her category.

With these defeats, India’s journey in the singles category came to an end on Day Four of the individual event .
