Key Asian stocks ended mixed today. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index gained 1.21 per cent, China’s Shanghai Composite jumped by 0.82 per cent and Singapore’s Straits Times Index rose 0.04 per cent.
South Korea’s Kospi slipped 1.20 per cent and Japan’s Nikkei-225 declined 0.34 per cent.
Major European markets were trading mixed today. Germany’s DAX was trading 0.32 percent up and London’s FTSE was 0.04 percent higher. Whereas, France’s CAC was trading marginally lower when the reports last came in.
Dow Jones Closes Above 39,000 Points, Extends Winning Streak To Six Sessions
The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended higher yesterday, stretching its winning streak to six straight sessions and closing above 39,000 points for the first time in five weeks, as investors kept betting on supportive US monetary policy.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.44 per cent. On the other hand, Nasdaq Composite index lost 0.18 per cent. The S&P 500 ended almost flat.
