All Centrally-protected monuments, sites and museums in the country under Archaeological Survey of India, ASI, will be opened from June 16.
In an order issued today, ASI said that the decision has been taken considering the prevailing situation.
It added that the opening, however, shall be in strict compliance with the executive orders issued by State and District Disaster Management Authorities in areas concerned. ASI said that appropriate guidelines and SOPs issued by Union, State and UT Ministries will be scrupulously followed while regulating the flow of visitors.
Earlier on 15th of April, ASI had ordered the closure of all the Centrally-protected monuments, sites and museums in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic situation.
