SRINAGAR: After visiting at the doors of separatist leaders on Monday, different groups of the all party delegation on Tuesday tried to reach out directly to some of the common people in different parts of the valley. Much to the surprise of victims. A group of members of the delegation including the Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj visited the injured in a Srinagar hospitals.


They talked to the injured and asked doctors to provide all possible treatment to them.

Another group led by Home Minister P Chidambram and state Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited Tangmarg town. The town saw the worst clashes in the ongoing unrest in the valley. The all party parliamentary delegation also visited the Hazratbal shrine to take stock of the situation at the ground level.

The delegation is also holding discussions with political parties, NGOs, social groups besides and other stake holders  in Kashmir.

On Monday the delegation exchanged views with Political parties both in the local and mainstream to take the Kashmir peace mission forward. During their interactions all the concerned urged the Centre to reach out to all sections of people and intensify the dialogue process to restore peace and order in the State. In their interactions, the National Conference renewed its demand for autonomy, the PDP called for out of box solution and the Congress stressed on an unconventional approach to restore peace and address the aspirations of people.

The delegation also met student groups, traders, fruit growers and trade union leaders to seek their views. Moderate Hurriyat Conference and JKLF in a joint memorandum called for a result oriented dialogue to find a lasting solution to the Kashmir issue.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed satisfaction over the all-party delegation’s visit to Kashmir Valley.  He said that he did not expect everyone to praise him but the fact that they got a true picture of the state  is important.  Omar was part of the team led by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram visiting Tangmarg.

Meanwhile leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj has said the decision to meet the separatist was not a collective decision of the all party delegation to Jammu and Kashmir.

Talking to reporters during her visit to the Hazratbal Shrine along with other party delegates, Swaraj said that it was not in the mandate to meet the separatists; however some of the individual delegates expressed their desire to meet the separatists, so they did.
