All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Patna will be fully functional by December this year. Replying to supplementaries in the Lok Sabh, Health Minister J P Nadda said the recruitment process for the AIIMS is underway and it will be completed by November.
He also informed that the Bihar government has so far not provided land for the another AIIMS in the state. The Minister said the Centre is committed to open AIIMS in different states including Kerala and Telangana in a phased manner.
On another question related to the hike of allowances for ASHA workers, Mr. Nadda said it is a continuous process and Centre is looking into it. He said state governments should also look into the matter.
