AIADMK crisis has further deepen in Tamil Nadu as five MPs belonging to the party including four Lok Sabha members and a Rajya Sabha member and also an MLA conveyed their loyalties to the caretaker chief minister O Panneerselvam.
With this, the number of MPs on his side has risen to ten. On the other hand, the ad hoc General Secretary of the party VK Sasikala rejected the allegations that the party MLAs are being held captive in a resort at Kuvathur near Chennai.
She consulted the MLAs for the second day today. Later, she told the press, the MLAs are freely moving around and are in touch with their family members. She said she is not aware of why she is not getting the invite from Governor to form the Government.
She remarked that false propaganda against her camp is being propagated to create confusion among the party MLAs. She added that the MLAs and the party are functioning like a single family with unity.
Earlier, BJP leader Dr Subramanian Swamy tweeted that any delay on the part of the Governor to invite Ms Sasikala to form the Government would lead to horse trading and one can go against the delay to court. However, the state BJP leaders have distanced themselves from his remarks saying it is his personal opinion.
